2000 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta - Albuquerque, New Mexico - 10/11 - 10/15/00

Just a few panoramic scenes from my first trip to Albuquerque, the Mecca of hot air ballooning. These still images, apart from the last one, were taken from DV video recordings I captured while on location. I later stitched them together in Photoshop to form the long panoramic images. I didn't use a tripod or any special equipment, just a DV camcorder with FireWire output (Sharp VL-SD20U DV Viewcam) to capture the images by hand in sweeping vistas.

The weather in New Mexico is breathtakingly surreal at times, and sunsets there are often something really different, something magical. Just another reason New Mexico is the Land of Enchantment.
